To become a resident with access to public services such as housing, receiving medical help and participation in the introductory program, you have to apply for temporary collective protection.
When the application is granted, you are assigned a temporary social security number and will have access to public services. It is also important for Norwegian authorities to know who is currently holding residence in the country.
You don't need to make an appointment with the National Arrival Center in Råde in advance. The reception is open 24 hours a day.

Ukrainians who have got a biometric passport can travel to Norway without a visa and stay in the country for 90 days. They can stay on a tourist visa on their own during that period, but have to apply for temporary collective protection if they want access to public services.
Registration in Elverum municipality
We ask refugees from Ukraine that are currently staying i Elverum, but have not yet been registered at the National Arrival Centre in Råde, to register with Elverum municipality.
The registration with Elverum municipality is to get an overview of who and how many refugees are staying here at the moment. When your registration is submitted, a representative from Elverum municipality will get in touch with you.

NB! To apply for temporary collective protection and get access to public services, you must register and apply at the National Arrival Centre in Råde.
